Mrs. Shara Simmons Clay, age 73, of Yatesville, died Tuesday November 22, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Clay was born on October 9, 1949, in Cordele, Georgia, to the late Willie Simmons and the late Dorothy Wilkes Simmons.  She worked in retail at Winn Dixie and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Clay, and brother, J.Q. Simmons.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Darryll) Kipp of Yatesville, sons, Jonny White of Thomaston, Edward White of Thomaston, sisters, Fara (Louie) Teal of Thomaston, Mary White of Thomaston, Dorothy Hall of Thomaston, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Clay was cremated and her family will have a memorial service at a later date.
