Sharon H. Paterson, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday November 29, 2024 at Heritage Inn of Barnesville. She was born in Upson County, Thomaston, GA on April 25, 1947, to the late Mildred Irene and the late Luther W. Smith. She attended Robert E. Lee High School and graduated from Cosmetology School in the early 70's. She owned a very popular and successful Hair Salon (Sharon's High Fashion Hair Styles) for many years in Thomaston. Even though she lived in some lovely locations during her lifetime; e.g. Hawaii, California, Bermuda and Florida; Thomaston was her home where she always returned. She enjoyed crafts and was very talented with ceramics. She had a large personality and everyone who knew her probably has a "story to tell".

She is preceded in death by Jerry Foster and her sister Nellie (Doody) Lumpkin. She is lovingly survived by her three children Ed Foster, Rachel Villa, and James Paterson. She is further survived by her former husband David Paterson and many grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her sister Gail Thomas and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at Coggins Funeral Home on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
