Ms. Sherry Lynn Salter, age 62, of Thomaston, died Thursday, May 9 2024, at Brightmoor Hospice In Griffin Ga.

Ms. Salter was born on November 8, 1961 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Alton Long and the late Rosa Lee Cochran Salter. She worked as a mail carrier for many years. Ms. Salter was a member of Elkin's Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Ashley Hicks.

Survivors include her daughter Afton (Lacey) Salter of Molena Ga, brothers Stanley (Deborah) Long of Thomaston Ga, Timmy (Lynn Fuller) Long of Thomaston Ga, grandchildren Bailey Garner, Mackenzie Williams, Hayden Salter, great grandchildren Georgia Mae Garner, Daxton Lee Garner, special friend Nola Shellnut, ex husband Aggle Hicks.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday May 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from Elkin's Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Elkin's Creek Baptist Church on Monday May 13, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
