Mrs. Shirley Joyce Helms Chambley age 84 died Friday May 12, 2023 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Chattanooga Tn.

Mrs. Chambley was born on October 28, 1938 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Rufus Helms and the late Mildred Dickerson Helms Watson. She worked for Thomaston Mills Bleachery division for many years. Mrs. Chambley was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Mr. Allen "Deelum" Chambley.

Survivors include her daughter Wendy (Candy Meck) Chambley of East Ridge Tn, sons Todd (Wendy) Chambley of Thomaston Ga, Scott Chambley of Hixson Tn, brothers Harry Helms of Thomaston Ga, Doyle (Marlene) Helms of Cochran Ga, grandson Tyler (Kelly Smith) Pinks of Savannah Ga.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Tuesday May 16, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
