Mr. James Ted Helms age 84 of Atlanta Ga., died Tuesday November 9, 2021 at his sister's residence.

Mr. Helms was born on August 8, 1937, in Thomaston, to the late Henry Aldine Helms, and the late Marion Dean Helms.  He was a registered X-Ray Technologist and a Laboratory Technician, he was employed by the state for 34 years.  He received his training at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Helms Tucker, and brother, Lamar Helms, all from Thomaston.

Survivors include his twin brother, Fred Helms, brothers, Sammy Helms, Tim (Deanna) Helms, sisters, Pam (David) Boyt, Elizabeth Helms Hewett both of Thomaston, and Brenda Helms Barfield of Zebulon.  Ted is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from Southview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 1:00 p.m-2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
