Mr. Thomas Nelson Rogers age 51 of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday September 25, 2024 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Thomas Nelson Rogers, AKA Nelson, was born on November 14, 1972 in Atlanta Ga, to the late Lamar Hill Rogers and the late Pauline Salter Rogers. A fierce competitor who began his endeavors in BMX racing circa 1983 was known for his passion in the sport and later became an inspiration, mentor, and dedicated coach not only to the next generation, but to his own children who also gained great success in the sport. In addition to his love for BMX racing, Nelson was an avid and accomplished fisherman who competed in several tournaments alongside his son, and a skilled hunter who valued his ability to feed his family through each and every harvest. Nelson's dedication and love for his family was unparalleled. He met his soulmate circa 1992 and created and raised a beautiful family over the course of their 32 years together. Nelson had two sons who he shared many hobbies with, one son who recently welcomed Nelson's first grandchild into the world, a daughter who he protected fiercely, and his pets who he loved like people. Nelson will be deeply missed by all who knew him, his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the incredible memories he made with his loved ones.

Survivors include his wife Tanya Rogers of Thomaston Ga, daughter Rose Rogers of Thomaston Ga, sons Alec Rogers of Thomaston Ga, Austin Rogers of Thomaston Ga, sister Tami (Scott) Netherton of Thomaston Ga, granddaughter Ember Saige Rogers.
