Mr. Wayne Avery age 83 of Thomaston Ga, passed away Friday October 7, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Avery was born on November 21, 1938, in Laurens County, Georgia, to the late Enoch Albert Avery, and the late Sheldon Inez Ricks Avery.  He served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.  He worked for BF Goodrich and the Martha Mill as a supervisor.  Mr. Avery was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Robin Jones Avery, brother, James A. Avery, sisters, Colleen Peterman, and Marjorie Chapman.

Survivors include his daughter, Deanne Avery of Thomaston, son, John (Kim) Martin of Thomaston, sister, Faye Cannon, and grandchild, Peyton Owens.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Silvertown Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Silvertown Baptist Church.
