William Keith Ragan, age 72, of Thomaston, died Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Keith was born on February 11, 1951, in Pike County, to the late William Douglas Ragan and the late Jewel Bettis Ragan.

Keith is a graduate of R.E. Lee Institute class of 1969 and attended Livingston University. In his early career Keith worked in the hospitality industry for Downside Risk. He later established a career in sales and over his lifetime worked in the print sales, law book sales and material handling sales. He was currently sales manager for Merit Sales, Monroe.

Keith was an avid hunter and fisherman, frequenting the woods, streams and lakes of the Southeast, leaving the fish and deer quaking in fear. He was passionate about football and committed a majority of his lifetime to coaching youth and high school football. Keith was a dedicated and respected coach, impacting the lives of many young men. If Keith wasn't fishing or hunting, you could find him watching Alabama football and yelling Roll Tide.

Surviving Keith in death are his wife Barbara Potter Ragan of Thomaston, GA, daughter, Laurie Allison Ragan of Buford, GA, son JR Ragan of Milledgeville, GA, sisters Carolyn Ragan Richardson, Joan Ragan Levenstein, Anisha Ragan (Dwayne) Barber, brothers, Ronald (Kippi) Ragan, and Eric Ragan.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 2:00p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, Jason Weems officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 12:30p.m. – 2:p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Flint River Academy Football program.
