Mr. Sheridan Daniel Mathis Jr, age 51, of Thomaston, died Saturday, April 2, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Mathis was born January 1, 1965 in Upson County to the late Frances Wynell Sangster and Sheridan Daniel Mathis Sr. He was a Steel Worker for Mike Short Construction.

He is survived by his fiance, Sheri Harrison of Thomaston; father, Sheridan Daniel (Carol) Mathis Sr of Conyers; sisters, Heather Mathis of Thomaston, and Angel Mathis of Conyers; brothers, Allen (Shely) Mathis of Molena, and Jason (Patsy) Mathis of Thomaston.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Mathis will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Coggins Funeral Home.
